How To Add A New Product- Meadow to QBO

Summary #

When you receive an error in the connector in relation to Product Type Mapping, you will need to map the new product in the Connector. Meadow will have created the new product in their system, and the steps below will assist in mapping that item to QuickBooks.

There is work to be performed in QB prior to setting up the Connector. If this is a brand-new Product, before attempting to map the connector, you may need to create a QuickBooks Item, QuickBooks Inventory, and Cost of Goods Item in your QuickBooks account.

Two common ways to confirm that the tax mapping has NOT been completed are in the Log File or via a pop-up during processing.

How to Access Product Mapping #

In order to access where you’ll begin the process of mapping any products old or new, you’ll click File>Settings and Entity. Then click Products to pull up the product mapping window.

In the new window that opens you will see a list of all mapped Product Types. First you will not see any new Product Types to map. Click Refresh List to pull in any unmapped Products.

Meadow will not pop-up that any new items have been added. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the list to see the new Products, and mapping needed.

Mapping Treez Product #

Meadow populated the missing product, but now you will need to map the product to the QB ITEM, QB INVENTORY ASSET Account, and QB COST OF GOODS SOLD Account.

To save the changes you made, you will need to select UPDATE on BOTH the Product Type window and the Main Settings window, which have been highlighted below.

Main Settings Update:

Your Products are now updated and you can return to the main window and attempt to resync.
